hi there, exch2003sp2 system in frontend + backend deployment, all server with w2k3sp2.

after installed a new backend exch2003 server, ready to move mailboxes from old backend to new backend server.

as esm allow me to move 4 users in 1 go, can i run 3 esm (on frontend, old backend, new backend) so that i can move 12 mailboxes at the same time?

am i too greedy? or any best practice for moving mailboxes?

many thx!

You can do that.
But I would only advise it if each task was moving mailboxes to different databases.

i.e. Task1->DB1, Task2->DB2, Task3->DB3

Source of the mailboxes doesn't matter so much.

If you have 3 tasks going to the same DB then they will be constrained by access to write to the database and write to the logs and can actually end up slower.

I've also seen odd corruptions when doing multiple tasks to the same DB at once although that was on Exchange 2007.
