can i make servlet who generates html + charts?

Hi,
i have a problem in developping servlet.
my servlet developps charts who is encoded in gif or jpeg image.
for sending image (.gif or .jpeg) on the page, i get the ServletOutputStream
i want to have on the top of this page one row that is developped in html or jsp for writing some thing.
