Dear all,

At native XP, there are a lot off group such as Administrator, Poweruser, User, etc.

Well, How do I make a new user group with my own right.
Let say I make group 'owngroup' And this group will only have access to
1. run some program
2. edit registry at some registry place (at regedit)
3. can not install new software
4. can not remove software
Can I do this?

Thank you in advance

What you do have at your disposal is Group Policy and setting effective permissions for file access and registry key access.

HOW TO: Set, View, Change, or Remove File and Folder Permissions in Windows XP

Typing "permissions" in Help and Support may help you.

Here's a bit of information, a mountain of it is available via Google, and don't forget Help and Support. I have tried to arrange the links from basic to complex. Hope it helps you.
