I have a split MS Access 2003 database (front-end & back-end) program that work just fine with mutable users adding or up-dating record information that has the record locking turned on. Users have complained to me that the only way they know another employee is updating the same record is when they can’t. The FORM that all of them have opened while in the program has the forms record selectors set to “NO”, so they can’t see the record locking indicator symbol in the left side of the screen when record locking has happened.
Is there a way to make a small Pop-Up information screen to inform them when this happens so they don’t feel the program is locked up?
