I am new to Visio and I was wondering if it is possible to create an Excel file (flowchart) and then either import or link it to Visio?

I know that you can create a Visio file and then link it to Excel and whatever changes you make in Visio will take effect in Excel. Is this possible to do with Excel? Perhaps by creating a macro to import/export or to link?

Any help would be great. Thank you.

You can do the same in Visio.

In your Visio drawing, click on "Insert" then "Object..." to open the Insert Object dialog box. Select "Create From File" then browse and select your Excel file. Click on "Link to File" to select it, then click on the "OK" button. This will insert a link to the document that will update any time your source document is updated.
