I'm making a t-shirt design and I need everything to be in vector format, unfortunately the illustrator text features are not as good as the ones for photoshop warp text and such, when I import something that's warped into illustrator it turns it into an uneditable bitmap... no good, so now I'm thinking of importing everything into photoshop, but no matter what I do the imported version is always rasterized... help?

If you are using a late version of PS (ie: 7 or CS), you should be able to import your vectors as paths, and they will be retained as vectors within PS.

However, once you apply PS effects such as warps etc, I think that would rasterise the vectors, anyway.

Have a go, see for yourself.

I exported to psd and kept all the editing options open, when I open it in ps it's just one flat image. I don't know...

I can't agree with that. Not only do you have the EXACT same Text Warp options in Illustrator as you do in Photoshop, but you also have Envelope Distort in Illustrator which is the ultimate tool for warping text.
