When creating reports in Access is there a way that I can force the header onto the next page if there is no space for detail on the current one (possibly repeating the header if the detail covers more than one page)?

I sometimes get to the bottom of a page and get the next header and then onto the next page for the detail (with no header).

There are options to select when creating the header like "Keep together" or "with first detail" or something similar. There is also a "repeat section" property of group headers.

Thanks. I have keep together on the header AND the detail and still get this effect. I think I may have to just put up with it unless I'm prepared to use the Force New Page. The problem there would be a new page for every single heading! I will leave it as is but use the Repeat Sectio so at least I can see what the detail is.

? I can only see "Keep together" and "Repeat Section" both of which I have used. There is also "New Row or Column" and "Force New Page" but I think that would create far too many pages.

Click the Sorting and Grouping button to access properties for the group, set Keep Together property to "Whole Group" or "With First Detail".

Hmmmm. I'm guessing that this is a recent addition. I am working on Access 2002 :(

Nope... been there forever. Did you find the button on the toolbar?

Sorry, got wrapped up with other things. Found the button (went into options and added it!) That seems to work thanks.

Just need to force the Report Footer onto the last page now instead of creating a page of its own as I have the grand total on it.
