I have Exchange 5.5 installed on a BDC in a small enterprise. Someone told me not to install IIS on the same box so I didn't. It works fine internally and for IMAP clients who connect from UNIX and MS2000 clients over the Internet. However, I want to stop sending clear text passwords over the net.
The best solution seems to be to install an SSL certificate on the Exchange Server. However, I have read that IIS must be installed first. Is there any way I can install IIS on top of Exchange so that I don't have to restore all the users' mailboxes and who knows what else. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
