I have a COMPAQ, Model S4020WM, Windows XP, can I add a Western Digital Hard Drive Model WD800EB-00DJF0 as a second drive? Do I need an installition program to install it? Or is like a Plug & PLay? Thank You

There should be no problems installing the new HD.
Just make sure it's connected to the motherboard's IDE 2 channel, and the jumper on the back of the drive is positioned as Master or CS. (Note that if another drive is also connected to the IDE 2 channel, then it has to be jumpered as Slave. Also, if 2 existing drives are already connected to IDE 2, and one of them has to be reconnected to the IDE 1 channel in order to make room for the new HD on IDE 2, then make sure the reconnected drive is jumpered as Slave on IDE 1).
Next, check that the HD is recognized in BIOS. If it is, then partition and format it in Windows.
