I have an AMD Athlon 1900XP+ along with a pretty standard set up - 2 hd's, dvd burner, floppy. What I'm wondering is can I install a third drive for video creation? I have a new 200gb drive that I'd love to install along with my 30gb and 60 gb drives. I suspect I can't but figured I'd ask.

thanks!

sure you can - you can have 4 IDE devices on 2 channels (standard - now older mobos)....and you could get a PCI Controller card for the newer faster HDD and have even 2-4 more for a total of 8.

What OS and SP

I've got three in my system now with more available as removable USB drives.

I have a system with 6 hard drives, a cdrom and a dvd burner. I have some of the hard drives on a pci ide card that had an ide controller on it. Most of them are made by promise or maxtor and they are the same anyway.
Also, in addition to the 6 hard drives, cdrom, and dvd burner, i have 3 more usb external hard drives. This just shows you can have a ton of stuff on your system as long as the power supply can handle it!
