Can i include PDF's & Images

My boss wants to know if when i link my SQL server db to the web can i include files such as PDF's and images within the database??

Also can any1 recommend a good site/book etc for a beg/intermd web developer to see how to link a SQL DB to a web site probably using ASP but otherwise html (dreamweaver)

You can using image field type, but most of us agree that you are better off not doing so because they are not easy to deal with. We store the path to the file in the database and put the files on the webserver.
