Can I import Excel files into Pagemaker?

I have some financial statements created in Excel that I need to import into PageMaker. I've tried creating them in Excel, copying them to Word and them importing them to PageMaker, but that leaves me trying to update Word tables with financial formulas/data. Is there a way to import directly from Excel? Thanks! Any help is appreciated.

I see you're having as much luck finding help as I have lately. Although I haven't tried asking anything on this website. Since I wanted to ask exactly what you've asked, I didn't figure I had to. I thought I'd just wait to see what response you got. Oh well!

Well, it is possible. All your hopes will be satisfied.

I'm not very good in Excell, but I know for a fact that you can print the Excell file as an EPS.

This EPS you can place in your pagemaker document.

It will be impossible to edit the Excell-file in your Pagemaker document

So all the editing of the cells must be done within Excell

On some of my PageMaker files when i try to import style or try to place text from my library i get the following message: "an error occured in PageMaker "Internal error: Bad table index. Cannot paste one or more formats from Clipboard."

I have had this problem in the past. I suggest highlighting and copying the excel table. Then in your PageMaker document choose Paste Special. Paste the item as a Microsoft excel worksheet object and this should work.

We have pasted Excel tables into Pagemaker using the paste object option - but when converting to .pdf files, they shift locations on the page sometimes. How can we avoid this?
