Can I hide the total column permanantly of a cube in Upfront ?

It's not what you want, but you could either:
1 create a report in upfront for which you have hidden the summary column. Of course, if that dimension is swapped, the summary will re-appear.
2 Create a calculated category in transformer for the items in the level and then create a report with that category as the columns. Again, swapping the columns will restore a total.
(I tend to use this latter method when displaying ledger reports for the accountants)
