I have Terminal Services - Remote Administration Mode installed & working on our Windows 2000 Server. I connect from another office using Windows XP's Remote Desktop Connection and it works well.

My questions are:

1. Can I have Application Server Mode running as well and are there any issues I should be aware of?

2. Do I need to create Client Disks at the Server & install on my outside XP machines?

Yes, when you configure App Sharing Mode you can still remote in as admin.

There is no need to install a client on XP machines, it is built in.

Start, Programs, Accessories, Communications, Remote Desktop.

Remote Desktop is the RDP5 client. Your 2000 server only ships with the RDP4 client so it would be a step backward.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark
