Hi All:

I am producing a report from my access database by envoking a query. The report is displayed on the screen and based on the results, I would like to hyperlink to a word or PDF document. Is this do-able ? I was thinking that a possibility would be, to have a command button on the report and then the user would click on the command button for the specific record he/she was interested in and this would hyperlink to the appropriate document. The command button would get it's information from the results of the report or from the actual field in the database where the hyperlink address is stored.

Any help would be gladly appreciated.

you cannot put a command button on a report. however, one alternative is to make a custom toolbar which only appears for that report and does what you want. another alternative is to make a form that looks just like the report, and put a command button on that.

hope this helps--g

GingerR -- Thanks for the suggestions. Appreciated. Because the report will return all those records that meet my criteria, how can I accomplish this with a form ? Also the toolbar will be specific for the entire report and not a specific record, will it not ?

thanks
