I upgraded from Office 2003 to Office 2007. When I was using Office 2003 I had business contact manager. Now that I have upgraded, I no longer have BCM. I tried to do the activate BCM command, but that didn't work because it was trying to activate 2003 and the activation code is different now. Is there any way for me to just get the BCM addition alone, or do I have to waste 200 bucks and buy Outlook 2007 again, just to get BCM. If that is the case, I am completely erasing all Microsoft software from everything I own and my company owns, and throwing away my XBox 360. Help...

Depends on which version of Office you purchased. If its the enterprise version then you can just store your business contact information to an access database rather then using BCM. There are huge changes from Office 03 to 07, don't get too frustrated with them.

PS. If you're really wanting to throw away that xbox I'll happily take it off your hands :)

I'm not sure I understand the problem.
Am I correct that you bought a cheaper package (like Office Standard or Office Home) instead of Office Small Business or Office Professional and are mad at MS because a product you want isn't included in the package you bought, or am I missing something and there is a bug or MS broke their word or something?

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I think Outlook and Outlook w BCM are different products; I don't think Outlook w BCM is just regular Outlook w another program latched on.

Sorry, I should have been more specific, and it isn't actually MS fault now that I have done some examining. Also, I can't give away the XBox because my son would kill me in my sleep. Okay, here is the issue, upgraded from Office Pro 2003 to Office Pro 2007. I shouldn't have used the word upgrade, I have a Enterprise License, which is a full license for Office Pro 2007. What I found out, after further research, is that the vendor I work with sold me Pro Plus 2007 instead of Pro 2007. Pro Plus doesn't have BCM.

This being said, I was looking to find out if anyone knew of a way to get the BCM add-in without having to purchase the entire Outlook product.

Further, I was not intentionally banging Microsoft for existing, as so many people do. I am just constantly frustrated with the fact that everything is so "packaged" sometimes, and that little things like this end up costing me more money than the simple solution, which would be to have some sort of ability to get what I need without having to completely purchase the software over, which is what is most likely going to happen. On the flip side, it would be nice not to have to deal with software programs that I don't want, such as IE, which I never use, and most likely will never use. Yet I have no choice but to leave it there and waste space, as every time I try to remove it, it mysteriously returns.
