Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a way to force a driver to load under Win2k even if the OS does not detect the presence of the hardware that the driver is designed for?? I am trying to use console multiplexer(a device that allows the control of two or more computers w/ one keyboard, monitor, mouse) with a touchscreen instead of a mouse. The computer that is not connected to the touchscreen via the multiplexer does not launch the driver for the touchscreen.

Can I force the touchscreen driver to load with a registry mod or something??

AlbanyEric,

Once the Upgrade Device Driver Wizard finds the original driver, is there an additional box at the bottom that states "Install one of the other drivers"? This will allow you to force the installation of a different driver.

Hope this helps,
MI
