can i export layers as a sequence of images?

Hi all,

I have a psd (using photoshop 7) file which i am working on that has approximately 50 layers - each one slightly different to the last. What I want to know is, can i export each layer as a separate picture file automatically - eg- photo1.xxx, photo2.xxx, photo3.xxx etc. (I need to preserve transparency in each file).

Any help would be greatly appreciated

not in 7 pauly. cs has this ability. there are some actions in the adobe studio exchange that do this for 7 and below though.
