Can I execute a DTS package from a Trigger

I have a problem where I need to wait for a none SQL Server process to finish before I run my DTS package. From this other process I can write to a table within SQL Server.

So my question is can I fire a DTS package from a trigger on this table.

You can run DTS from a stored procedure, so you can run it from a trigger, even if all the trigger does is call the sp.
