I have an Access 2003 application which is set to automatically launch when the user runs it. To avoid security issues, I disable the database window, the status bar and the full menus using the Startup form.

The users CAN still hold down the shift key when they run it, but I would like to disable this and have a button within the application that drops them into the database for manual stuff such as custom queries etc.

Any idea how I can do this ? All I can find are ways to change the startup options for the next time the application runs and this is most definitely NOT what I want !

Thanks,

Thanks ZmrAbdulla.

Unfortunately, that only tells me how to disable and then re-enable the shift key access to the full development environment.

What I would like to be able to do is to have a button within the application which will exit from the application into the full development environment of Access immediately without the user having to re-run Access.

In effect, I want to be able to re-enable things like the full menus, display the database window and the status bar programatically.

It is possible that this cannot be done, but I am hoping !
