Hello, I want to draw an object such as a square but beginning from a point.

From that point it would go left, then down, then right then up and would complete a square. ANyone know how to do this? I have been searching the forum but cannot find the solution. If anyone can help me I would really appreciate it! Thank you.

And there's a lot more out there...

What you can do is draw any size or a rectangle or a square on the scene. then using the x,y,width, height properties you can type in the values. This will give you an acurate rectangle. I think that this answers your q.

am i to take there is no way to draw with a brush or pencile tool, like u might in photoshop?

Flash can only draw lines from a to b?

Not at all, styleBunny. I've found that Flash can actually be a powerful drawing tool. There are brushes, pencil tools, circles, squares, complete with gradient fills..I've even used it for strictly creating jpegs.

nah, I just get excited if I see a chance that my limited knowledge might be helpful here, amongst the experts ;)
