Hello all. I'm attempting to create a cd-rom based catalog for my company. All our product & pricing info is stored on our AS/400 database. I'd like for customers to be able to pick certain product categories, metal types, etc. and then have those items displayed. My question is, how do I go about importing this info into a database that Director can work off of? Is Director capable of being that dynamic, or should I be looking at another program? Any shoves in the right direction would be much appreciated. Thanks.

There are xtras for dealing with Dbases. Director is that dynamic but why not use Visual Basic? Dbases are what VB does and all the tools you need are part of the package, the support for VB data bases is also much better.

If you want multimedia components you can out shockwave stuff into VB via an activeX control.

Now, if you want to use director over VB for some reason head over to the macromeida web site and take a look at the xtras list, should have a dbase xtra that will do the job you want.
