Hi,

I'm a bit of a newbie to all this so forgive me if this is a stupid question.

I've set up a Cisco 761M on my home network to dial into my ISP using ISDN and provide web access for the whole local network. My ISP has provided me with a fixed IP address and the local subnet uses the 10.1.1.x range.

Is there anyway I can provide access into a machine on the local network to PC's connected to the internet. For example if I wanted to run a designated games server on the local PC.

Hope that all makes sense and thanks for your help.

You need to run some sort of Network Address Translation. (NAT) This essentially means that clients can connect back to your router which then forwards them on to a private IP address that you specify which remains hidden from the public network. To implement NAT you will need to be running the IP Feature Pack on your router. For assitance on configuring NAT refer to the Cisco Website.
