On the left-hand menu sidebar of my main homepage i have my documents folders, lists, surveys etc.

I want to be able to display a list of the sites different users have access to from this side menu bar.

So far, If i create a link in the link section, users who do not access to the "internal" site will see that its there and not be allowed to enter. I am hoping there is a way to only display links to sites they have permission to view.

is this possible?

Hello,

By default in WSS v2 you can't hide things that users do not have permissions to. So all users will see all the links. You could possibly create your own webpart or webservice to achieve what you want (but I am no Developer or programmer, so can't be much of help here).

In the next version of WSS v3, users will only be able to see what they have access to, by default.

Cheers,
Thomas
