We have NAV Corp Edition 7.5 (might be 7.6 actually) running on our network.
We have about 20 machines - 2 of which we don't want it to install itself onto (they already have individual clients that came with the machine and work well - if they aren't broken, I don't really want to fix them by removing the existing AV client - wich is also Norton).

The discovery service finds them, and then once it does, they get an error on their machine because the two AV products essential fight it out over who is in charge.

I currently have the time between when the server runs the discovery service set to be as long as it will let me, and I set it to only look at the Netware servers (which we have none of).

Yet we still have the machines showing up in the console - I delete them out and then eventually (a few hours, a few minutes - it varies) they show up again?

Any suggestions?

If the clients are showing up in the SSC, then they have the corporate edition installed. 7.x can't detect computers that don't have the client installed. You said you don't want it to "install itself," which suggests that you have a login script or something set up to do just that. If so, it's likely that it's already happened.

I recommend double checking what's installed, because installing the corporate version over the consumer version can cause problems.
