Can I disable 'beep' on boot-up?

I keep waking the family when using my PC in the early morning, because the boot-up beep is too loud - can I disable it?
 
Go into your BIOS. I think you can disable it from there

If not just unplug the system speaker. All things are possible except skiing through a revolving door.
 
I think you mean you can disable the system speaker from the BIOS. The beeps are the sytem hardware reporting during POST hardware check. I don't think you can actually stop POST beeps. Email me! denodave@yahoo.com
