Can I dele the preview search?? 1

My problem is:

When I clic
1.- Start
2.- Search
3.- File and folder
and I write a letter(On opction:Search file and folder) for example:
data
I got a list all word that start with data apear.
example:
database
dataserch
datatag
I would like to dele all those preview search

Is it possible?/

hmmm Not sure in 98/me you could erase them in the registry if your not reg-a-phobic :) I'll see if I can find it for ya.
 
If you're trying to delete the history of the words you've searched for..
it's in the registry at 2 keys.

Open start, run and type:
regedit

then in the edit menu, go to "find", and search for any of the words you've tried to search before. The more unique the entry, the faster it will find it.

I usually go to start, find, files..and search for something like "jiffypeanutbutter"

..then search the registry for jiffypeanutbutter, and delete all the recent MRU entries in the keys it finds. They will start with number 000, and go all the way on up..
