I just got a new Dell PC that came with ME. Can I de-install ME and load Win98? Will it cause any problems? I don't want to mess with the problems that ME is having right now. All my programs are working just fine with 98 and I have to load new stuff all the time to study for classes I teach.

Thanks,
CindiN

I would tell Dell you are unhappy w/ME they may send you 98

Explain that the machine is worthless the way it is and it will be returned if they can't get you 98, then do it if they are uncooperative. Ed Fair

Thank you both for the idea. I did call the support line, and they said that If I replace Win98 with ME, it will void my software warranty. However, if I don't have ME on my system, then I don't think I'll need software support from Dell anyway! If I do, all I have to do is just reload ME. Although, I might just call them and get them to send me WIN 98 as you suggested!!

Thanks for your advice, I appreciate it. s-)
