Can I create a replica database with ODBC and MySQL for Windows?

I'm a bit of a .db newbie, like you couldn't tell from my question. My companies accounting software is in AcuCobol. I've got ODBC drivers and a MySQL engine running on the Windows side. I would like to replicate the Cobol data on the MySQL box. Has anyone here done similar? Is there a with a "how to" sheet? Thanks for all the help, I appreciate you!
