Hallo, all!
Recently I tried to make a small mailing list using &quot;mail&quot; command in a shell script. The mail should have a message about a new update and a link to the file. Sending mails was O.K. (with &quot;mail <address> << EOF ... EOF&quot;). But the thing is : I couldn´t create links with that thing! I tried to make the whole message text to be a html text - no success. It came the same, as I´ve send it - just plain text with marking tags -> the marking was not recognized. Has anybody an idea how it could be done?
Thanks

Try reading the full 'email source' of an HTML message you have received. I'm not 100% positive of this, but you probably need to start with the header:

Content-type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1

Don't know if the charset is necessary, but I do know the Content-type is. The link you want in the message is just HTML/browser interpretation of text in the message. So tell the mail reader to interpret the text as an HTML message with that header.

Maybe not the full solution, but should get you started in the right direction.
