I have some databases that were created in Access 97 that I transferred to a new computer that has Access XP. When I try to open them using XP it says that it is unable to open the files. Is there a way that I can convert those older files to XP?

Hi

Are your Access97 databases in the .mde format?

AccessXP can't open or convert .mde files that are created by Access97.

Most are in .mdb format but some are in .mde. I also have one that is in .mdz format. Right now, XP won't convert *any* of them.
