Hi,
I am planning to migrate oracle 7.3 to 9i, as the front end of the application is visual basic 5. I was wondering if the ODBC version will work properly or which is the right version in order for the app to work?
Could anybody help me? thanks a lot!

As far as I know the only problem you may face is that some versions of the ODBC driver will return spaces instead of "null" for null value fields.
E.g. if your VB application was expecting spaces and now receives a "null" it will fail unless you keep the old driver, or you change your code to test for null values.

I am not aware of any problems, but this question will probably be better answered on a Oracle forum.

Why don't you just try it? If you don't have it already you can download Oracle 9i and test your application with it, and see if you get any problems.

There will no problem at all.
You have to install Oracle drivers, if you have installed D2K then the drivers will be installed.
