Using Access 97,

Can I change the size of a check box on a printed report?

We have the checkbox show at the end of a line of text taht is about 8 pt in size. The checkboxes look humongeous. I tried using the circle dots. They are a pinch bit smaller, but they take up more room in the line, and almost make it look 1 1/2 returns instead of single space.

Any ideas?

If not, I can always globally replace all -1's with Y's, but my supervisor really digs the checks.

Hi, I don't know that you can change the size of a checkbox - but you can cheat. I had the reverse problem - the checks being too small and the wrong color. I copied a screen to paint shop pro, cut out the check box, enlarged it, changed the colors and imported it back to the report as lblCkbox. I turned the existing ckbox invisible and place the new label over the top, invisible also. Then I did a select case in the reports detail section where if the ckbox value = -1, the label is visible.

Select case me.ckbox
case = -1
me.lblCkbox.visible = true
case is = 0
me.lblCkbox.visible = false
End select.

You can also use an If statement. Other than that, if anyone knows if a ckbox can be physically changed, I'd be interested too.

Hope that helps.
