Is there a way to globally change colors like in Illustrator (Select same fill and stroke)?

I'm unable to select the color and move it to the trash because it's also used in a placed Illus. image. I just want to change the color of the other items that were created in ID.

Temporarily remove the AI with the color. Double click the swatch you want to changs and change to cmyk or rgb values you want. All ID items calling for that coor will change. Thne bring the AI back in.

Using OSX 10.3.9 on a G4

Unfortunately I have too many ai files to remove. What I may try is copy the ai files directly into ID so that can be edited, too. Then remove the color swatch, and change back the color just to those ai files (there are fewer of them than the ID-colored objects).

I was really hoping for a "select" like in Illus. -- I love that!
