Hello to all,

Thanks in advance for your help and/or advice for my question...

My question is, I have a table that has an OLE field with linked pictures on the server. My database is huge and need to get it smaller. I would like to use hyperlinks but not sure if I can convert the field automatically or have to go thru each manually???

Also, will hyperlinked pictures show up in a form or report?

Thanks again!!!!

If you have an ole field then you are probably storing the pics in your db. If that is the case then probably there is no relative link to the photos on the server, so that would suggest a manual approach.

However, if the photos or the records are named in a manner that you can logically tie them together, then it would be a matter of defining the file path in vb (that would be the easiest) and using that as the hyperlink.

Yes, a hyperlinked photo will appear in a form or report.
