Can i call imr report from the intranet using Java?

Hi guys,
the question is can I open an imr report from the intranet using Java having the Imp Client/Server model (not the IWR)?
in other words can I open the report on an ImpUser on my machine from the intranet.
If yes, please supply me with tips about the steps of that Java applet as I'm not a programmer.
