Hi Tkoker here, I just purchased 4 micros 2700 systems to expand our business. I want to combine our old restaurant menu with the pizza menu on the ones I just bought. The units are as follows:

old units: version 3.04 2700 hms v4. 04 80286 processor

new units: version 3.05 2700 hms v5. 03 80286 processor

Can I broadcast from one to another without messing up my current up and running system. If yes, how can I do this and not force any data out of the recieving unit of the broadcast. They will be overlapping menu items I believe.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The 3.04 & 3.05 refer to the BIOS version. They need to be the same. 3.05 is want you want.

The 2700 software is the 4.04 vs 5.03. They need to match and the 5.03 is preferred. The local Micros dealer could perform that task, figure 10-15 minutes per terminal to load the software. You could have the dealer load what your current terminals are using (4.04) into the ones you just bought. In either case THEY MUST MATCH. To save a buck, bring the terminals to the dealer's office. If they know you're coming. Good Luck.
