Hi, All ,please help,

if I m a user of sendmail in Solaris, can I block
a address,
if the guy who is blocked by me send mail to me,
what will happen,
sure, I can't receive him, but the mail will be removed
by mail-server or bounced back ?

to do this by modify sendmail.cf or other file ?

Thanks very much

You can do that a couple ways... If you have the 'access.db' FEATURE compiled into your sendmail.cf, then just add the person's email address to the access file and do a makemap.

Otherwise you can manually add addresses to the sendmail.cf file -- look at the Anti-Spam section on for help on the sendmail.cf entries.

Hope this helps,
Paul

Another possibility might be procmail, I think it is heavily used with sendmail. Example:
:0
* ^From.unwanted.fella@domain.com
| /dev/null
