Can I apply conditional formatting to cross tab columns

I am on Crystal 8.5 and I have a cross tab report where I"d like to grey out only two columns (still show the data but have the background color greyed out).

eg:

Temp Temp Site R.R FIO2

I only want Temmp and R.R columns greyed in background..

I don't think so.

CR has severe limitations in the cross-tabs. I tried conditionally formatting cells without success a few times.
