Can I always get the same tty? 1

I know when I dial in I always get the same tty but what about my LAN users. Can I config the .profile to always assign a consistant tty to some/all users? I understand there can be no duplication. Thanks for your help here.

Unless your LAN users always log on to the system in same order, I'm afraid you can't force the pseudo-tty allocated.
