I have SQL2000 on my web site host server. I only have SQL 7 on my computer and I get a message when I try to connect that says I need to upgrade enterprise mgr and SQL-DMO to version 2000. I really don't want to upgrade(to expensive). Any way around this?

If you have access yes you can get around this. The first step is to setup a file dsn through the odbc admin. once this is done just add a linked table to an access database selecting an odbc source. select the odbc you setup and away you go. I also like to use this to create my SQL for ASP pages.

That is so cool. I had pretty much given up and resigned myself to having to scrape up enough money to upgrade to 2000. But it works, and it is not too dificult. I give you tremendous thanks, and hope that I will someday have the knowledge to help someone in distress. Thanks again
