my kids/wife play those online games a lot.... everytime i get on computer i have to go thru all kinda hopps to get back to my desktop cause it takes up the entire screen, i cant get to the start button, taskbar, desktop, nothing.... every once in awhile hitting the "Windows" key works, but not often...
is there a way to eliminate full screen modes? make it where all games are just a regular window like all other software?

thanks
tony

Have you tried the Esc button or F11 to get back to your Desktop? Pressing the "Windows key" + D usually takes you straight to your Desktop.

You could look at the Compatibility settings for each exe of each game ( via Properties) if they are launched from your machine, and set that to run at a 640 x 480 Screen Resolution but I fear you would have a revolution on your hands.

ctrl+alt+delete, end task normally works ;).
Linney nailed it, its homefront politics. You could look at the exe properties, or look in the actual game properties, they often have display options.

Does Alt Tab not work?. Even if you have no other programs open. Press Alt+Tab, then Windows Key. This should bring it out. Alt+Switches between programs. If you have no other programs open, it switches to the "control service" for the program, which, is handled by the programs windows service, this means that that focus isn't on the game, therefore the keyboard buffer will be processed by the standard windows IOHandler, not the games.

Hope this Helps.

..some of those games also have sketchy Windowed mode setups. They usually dont allow to alt-tab, etc. too easily.

yeah, like i was saying, it goes to its control process. Doesn't disregard the window, just the handler you are talking to with your keyboard input is switched. So vissably, you are still looking at the game.

Hope this Helps.
