Can Flash Draw ? 1

Hold your seats, 'caus this may drop you off the edge a little . :
Is it possible for a user to draw something in a running swf ?
like when the mouse button is pressed & draged, the swf draws a line related to the user's mouse movements ?

Is it possible to 'duplicate' a movie (that looks like a piont) & placing in at the same point the mouse was (mouses' x & Y location).
I'm not taling about mouse trails here . but a permanent mark . like pen on paper .

It would be interesting... But I doubt it!
Would have to be something like Live Flash!
Wonder if preloaders would be handy on this one?
Maybe with some sort of long delay it could be done!

Would probably be easier to simulate drawing!

Yes, Dave is right, it can definitively be done. here is the link to a site that has a couple of great examples of it :

from there
go to the gallery, and there choose "writer" and "spraypainter"
You can even pick from different colors and choose your drawing tool

I hope you were able to make your own "live" drawing flash film.
I think (but I'm not entirely sure) that you can find some tutorials on this, in Flash 5 Graphics, Animation and Interactivity by James Mohler (onword press)
