I would like to my filemaker application to send smpt email instead of using mapi email (sendmail.fmp). When a button is selected I would just like to format a message and send it to my smtp gateway. Mapi email works but I can not ensure that the user selects send they could just cancel and I have no way of determining this.

i think the only way to send email thru FM rather than a mail client is to use a plug-in. dacons makes one called mail.it
