Hi all,

Can Exchange 2003 be set up to be a smarthost? I know you can set up a SMTP connector and point to a smarthost, but I'm looking at how to actually make it be one.

Thanks,

George

I believe You would just configure the Relay portion of Exchange to accept connections based on authentication, IP address, etc. Then point your other mail server (exchang?) to the one you setup to allow relaying from thus it is a smarthost.

I have a number of clients where that is the case. It works fine - you control the access via relaying, mofusjtf says.
