Can DVD be bootable ?

Hi All,

This may be a silly question, but I never had a DVD reader
connected as a master...

So, are there bootable DVDs available or it's only CDs you can boot your machine from ?

They can be bootable as well. Remember, it's not the format that matters - only whether the BIOS can recognize the boot device and the data disc is properly configured for bootup.
