Can Dreamweaver Do This......

OK firstly I have never used Dramweaver but I think it may the program I need for a specific task so just want to check it can before I start to learn about it!!

I know its widely used for web design BUT I want to write a stand alone desktop application, a product catalogue, to work in a similar way to a website but directly from a CD. Obviously DB driven, searchable etc etc and there must be no dependency on other software ie Access, IIS, ASP server etc.

I've written a website using ASP pages, VBscript, Access DB and it works great but now I need a CD based version..... Is Dreamweaver the prog for me??

Dreamweaver is a WYSIWYG editor for websites and webpages. So I'm sure it can help you with the webpage interface, however the "DB driven part" well actually requires a DB and as such i doubt very highly that it can run off of a read-only-media like a CD.

You could however use maybe a flat comma separated file containing the data, and have a client side scripting language like Javascript or VBscript access it and search through it, and present the results.
