Can DID have Caller ID feature 1

Hi,
We have a NEC 2000 IVS connected to a PRI and I was wondering if there is a way to program the PBX so when a DID calls outside the caller ID will be different from the main PRI number.I know that with command 7624, we can give a name to a DID but I dont think it goes through outside.

I take it you mean when an extension that has a DID assigned to it makes an outside call you want to control the caller ID sent to the person you are calling? You would use command 1212 to assign four digits of caller ID, 1213 to assign the phone to an ISDN number table. Then Command 5005 to program the rest of the number.

i.e. Extension 1000 has a DID of (123) 456-7890
in 1212 you would assign 7890
in 1213 you would assign 01
in 5005 you would assign table 01 the number 123456
so in the end the DID # (123) 456-7890

It brings me to my other question.. Can you assign a name to a DID? I've looked in the command manual but it is not clear.The DID number is 688-8338 and it is assigned to block #150.In Matworx I've assigned a name to it but it does not show on the other end. Am I missing something?I really apreciate your answer for my first question it did the job, I'm halfway to my goal now..

No you can not send out a calling name from the 2000IVS. In the US the telephone Company uses a look up database to display the calling name. The latest 2000 IPS release will allow the system to send out a name but 90% of the phone companies out there will ignore it for now.
