can dialup but can't go anywhere

I recently tried installing eSafe desktop but once it was running i could dial up to my ISP but couldn't go anywhere.

so i uninstalled it, but still had no access anywhere. I tried pinging lots of people by name and IP but by name was unrecognisable and by IP address came back error code 10050.

I have completly removed cookies, history, restored all defaults but still no joy.

my ISP is as helpful as a chocolate dart board

Have you tried releasing all your IP information and then dialing up again? What type of OS are you using? joegz

The IP assignment is via DHCP and is different each time the machine dials up to the ISP

Get all of your settings then try creating your dialup information again. ggebhart@clover.net
