Hello,

I'm not sure if it's called "self-documenting" or something else. But I was wondering if there is a way for Crystal Reports to print a document showing all the criteria, formatting, field selection, etc for a report. I'd like to build a new report from scratch using a previous report, and would like to see in one place all the info needed to build the new one.

Thanks.

Execute the report, then click on the export icon. For export format, select 'Report Definition'. This creates a text file that creates documentation about a report including most formula, selection logic, sorting, grouping, etc.
